How can we connect Paypal to our Chargebee account?
Chargebee supports PayPal as a payment method so customers can choose to pay using their PayPal accounts. On selecting PayPal during the checkout process, they will be redirected to the PayPal login page. Once they authenticate the payment, a billing agreement would be created to allow Chargebee to process recurring payments automatically from their account.
To integrate your Chargebee account with the PayPal Express Checkout gateway, navigate to Settings > Configure Chargebee > Payment Gateways and click Add a Gateway. You can follow the setup steps explained in this doc for the complete configuration.
Chargebee allows you to set up PayPal both on the Checkout Pages as well as with the API based integration option. Here’s a doc with further details.
Note:
To use PayPal as a payment method, you require a PayPal Business account.
Your PayPal Business account needs to have Reference Transactions enabled before you can integrate it with Chargebee.
Alternatively, you could also connect PayPal via your Braintree gateway account.
